General Overview:

Hastelloy C-4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy known for its exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments and its stability across a broad range of temperatures. Hastelloy C-4 can be readily fabricated using standard techniques, including welding, which retains its corrosion resistance after welding. The alloy's composition is designed to prevent the formation of grain-boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, ensuring it remains resistant to intergranular corrosion after welding.
