U type Mosi2 Heating elemet
The U - type molybdenum disilicide heating element is a high -
performance component of heating equipment.
I. Appearance and Structure
It features a unique U - shaped design. This shape not only saves
space but also facilitates installation and layout in various
heating devices. It is made of molybdenum disilicide, a material
with special properties, and usually has a gray appearance with a
certain metallic luster.
II. Material Properties
High Hardness: Molybdenum disilicide has a relatively high hardness
with a Mohs hardness of approximately 7. This enables the heating
element to withstand certain mechanical pressures and frictions
during installation and use, making it less prone to physical
damage and ensuring the durability of the product.
Good Antioxidant Properties: Under high - temperature conditions
(generally within the range of 1000 - 1700°C), a dense silicon
dioxide (SiO₂) protective film will form on its surface. This
protective film can effectively prevent oxygen from further
reacting with the internal molybdenum disilicide, thus ensuring
excellent stability and a longer service life of the heating
element in a high - temperature oxidizing environment.
High Thermal Conductivity: The molybdenum disilicide material has a
relatively high thermal conductivity, enabling it to effectively
conduct heat. During the heating process, heat can be quickly
transferred within the heating element, reducing the phenomenon of
local overheating and improving the uniformity and efficiency of
heating.
Low Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: The coefficient of thermal
expansion is relatively low. When the temperature changes, the size
change of the material is relatively small. This helps maintain the
shape and structural integrity of the heating element, reducing the
risk of damage caused by thermal expansion.
