1. Working Principle
The gantry electroplating production line forms a uniform coating
on the metal surface through electrolysis. Its core process is:
applying voltage between the anode and the cathode to deposit the
metal ions in the electroplating solution on the surface of the
cathode (workpiece) to form a protective or functional coating,
which improves the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and
aesthetics of the workpiece.
2. Core Configuration
1. The control system adopts a PLC programmable controller (such as
Mitsubishi and Omron brands in Japan) to achieve full
automatic/semi-automatic control, support multiple sets of process
flow switching, and has fault alarm and parameter memory tracing
functions.
2. Auxiliary equipment High-precision filter (to ensure the
cleanliness of the plating solution), rectifier power supply
(stable current output), constant temperature system (to maintain
the temperature of the plating solution) and exhaust gas treatment
device (environmental protection requirements).
3. Transmission system Variable frequency speed regulation motor
drives the crane to run, combined with magnetic induction switch or
photoelectric switch to achieve precise positioning, reduce
operating noise and mechanical wear.

1. Gantry frame
The column-type gantry frame structure is adopted, and the main
body is made of stainless steel or PP plate, which has high
rigidity and corrosion resistance, and can be adapted to plating
tanks and workpieces of different sizes.
The plating tank design is divided into deep tank or shallow tank.
The tank body improves stability by strengthening the structure to
meet the electroplating needs of high-density and small-diameter
workpieces.
2. Lifting system
Crane device: equipped with gantry crane or electric lifting hook,
precise positioning is achieved through gear rack transmission, and
some models support handheld remote control operation.
Drain device: The crane is equipped with a drain function to reduce
the amount of plating solution carried out and reduce the risk of
cross contamination.
3. Plating tank layout
The plating tanks are arranged in parallel in a straight line or
U-shape according to the process requirements, including plating
tanks, cleaning tanks, activation tanks, etc., and the tanks are
connected by a conveying system.
Some production lines are equipped with vibration motors, air
blowing devices or heating/cooling systems to improve the
uniformity of plating solution and electroplating quality.
4. Transmission and positioning system
Drive mode: frequency conversion motor or brake reduction motor is used, which supports multi-level speed adjustment, low operating noise and high wear resistance.
Positioning technology: ±1mm positioning accuracy is achieved through magnetic induction switch, photoelectric switch or infrared remote control to ensure the stability of lifting.
5. Control system
The core adopts PLC programmable controller (such as Mitsubishi and
Omron brands), which supports full-automatic/semi-automatic/manual
mode switching, and multiple operating programs can be set through
the touch screen.
Integrated fault alarm and parameter memory tracing functions,
real-time monitoring of key parameters such as electroplating
current, temperature and time.
6. Auxiliary equipment
Filter system: High-precision filter maintains the cleanliness of the plating solution and reduces the impact of impurities on the plating layer.
Rectifier power supply: dual pulse power supply or DC power supply to ensure stable current output, suitable for different plating types such as zinc plating and nickel plating.
Environmental protection device: Some models are equipped with
exhaust gas treatment system or closed tank design to reduce VOC
emissions.
