Titanium pipe and tube is increasingly being used in a myriad of applications due to the inefficiency of stainless steel and other materials in many instances. A common titanium mill product is titanium tubes, which are employed in a variety of products owing to its superior corrosion resistance and strength-to-weight ratio. The development of many different alloys has extended the application of titanium in industries ranging from industrial and chemical processing to power generation. Grade 2 is a commercially pure titanium grade. Stronger than grade 1, the metal is highly resistant to corrosion. An area where the Titanium Grade 2 Seamless Pipe is suitable is the pulp and paper industry.


Grade2, UNS R50400, 3.7034, CP-3 titanium has an alpha crystal structure. This alloy is widely used because it combines excellent formability and medium strength with excellent corrosion resistance. It has good corrosion resistance in highly oxidizing and mildly reducing environments (including compounds). And easy to weld, hot and cold processing and machining. The combination of these characteristics makes it ideal for many applications, including seawater pipelines in aerospace, petrochemical, oil and gas and marine industries, reaction vessels and heat exchangers, ships, automotive parts, medical, and sports equipment.
