Principle of speed regulation of BLDC motor

The speed regulation of BLDC motor can be realized by changing the control signal of electronic commutator. The control signal of the electronic commutator can be PWM signal or analog signal. The duty cycle of the PWM signal determines the current in the coil, which affects torque and speed. The size of the analog signal determines the size of the current in the coil, and also affects the torque and speed.

Analog speed regulation

Analog speed regulation is a simple BLDC motor speed regulation method. The size of the analog signal can be achieved by changing the control signal of the electronic commutator. The larger the signal, the greater the current in the coil, the greater the torque and the slower the speed. The smaller the signal, the smaller the current in the coil, the smaller the torque and the faster the rotational speed. The speed regulation of BLDC motor can be realized by changing the size of analog signal.

BLDC motor has high reliability, no reversing spark and low mechanical noise. It is widely used in high-grade video recorders, video recorders, electronic instruments and automatic office equipment. Here is a particular point to explain, many people think brushless motor is DC motor, so it is called "brushless DC motor", in fact, brushless motor is a kind of AC motor, it is a three-phase AC permanent magnet motor.
