Candle filters, also known as cake layer filters, consist of a vertical vessel and a vertically mounted filter unit. The filter unit is composed of an open-hole petal-shaped filter element and a filter cloth. The actual filter medium is the filter cloth and filter cake layer wrapped on the surface of the filter element. The filter cloth is fastened to the surface of the filter element with a special clamp to make it sealed.
